Introducing the newest addition to the Urban Decay Naked series! Naked cherry is a line up of burgundy, pink and neutral tone highly pigmented shadows. Everything about this palette is nothing short of amazing. From first swatch to first application this beauty performs. The matte shades are buttery and non drying while the metallic shades are vibrant and pack a punch especially when foiled with fix plus from MAC. Urban decay featured their new improved double ended shadow brush in this palette and I can honestly say I enjoy it the most out of every one I have purchased in the past. The brush is easy to use, blends out shadows perfectly and picks up the pigment evenly. This palette retails for $49 and is available at retailers that carry Urban decay products!
I was selected from Influenster and Garnier to receive and test out their curl construct and curl shape products free for reviewing purposes! I wasn’t into the whole curling your hair for their Halloween campaign but I did put these product to the test! I am a huge spender when it comes to hair care products. I love brand name hair care but I also love a great drug store product! My hair naturally has a curl to it and can be a little crazy at times! When I first received these products I dove right into the curl shape defining spray gel. At first use it was sticky as heck and sprayed all over the place. I got it on my face, which messed up my makeup of course. I had to learn to spray it further away from my head. Once in my hair I noticed the product became very hard giving my hair that “scrunch” like texture. Let’s be honest here, I loved a good hair scrunch... about 10 years ago when I was in middle school and high school. As a 26 year old woman I am looking for a more professional looking hair style. I did not give up, I tried this product while doing a low pulled back bun. Worked like a dream! Perfect for slicking back my hair and keeping it back all day with no fly always! After the disappointment of the gel I was hesitant to try the curl construct creation mousse. This product I used on damp hair and used my bellami dryer to get bouncy curls. This I LOVED! My curls were perfect! The combination of the mousse and my blow dryer gave me a natural bouncy curl that stayed frizz free all day long. I would recommend these products to my friends and family for their hair care needs. This brand is definitely a great drug store option even though the first product wasn’t my favorite.
Rihanna shocked us all when she dropped news that she was creating and launching a cosmetic brand! The icon has always been in the front of the line when it comes to fashion and beauty world wide. It was not a surprise that her brand would become an empire.. but how good is the product that Rihanna so proudly displays her last name on? I took a tri to sephora the day that Fenty launched and of course as assumptions were correct the line was out the door. Getting close to the Fenty display was a nightmare. I asked for assistance when it came to picking a shade, I could have done this myself but with all of the people attacking the counter it was easier. The girl was very knowledgeable and of course tried to upswell my on the entire line.. but in hind sight I can understand why.. you really do need the entire line in order for your face to come out flawless; here's why... I knew the foundation was matte and long wearing so I first prepped my skin with La mer moisture creme.. applied the too faced hang over relief primer and went in with the Fenty foundation in 120. I liked the color a lot but I seemed to be having a hard time trying to get the foundation to look flawless.. I felt like it was patchy.. I decided it was all in my head and it would smooth its self out when I sprayed my fix plus.. well I was in for a shock. Upon attempting to contour my face.. 20 minutes after applying the foundation... I noticed my brush was taking the foundation completely off my cheeks.. my face looked HORRIBLE. I took it all off.. tried it again with a new primer. I used the smash box photo ready primer... again followed by the Fenty foundation.. and to my surprise it did it again. I was so disappointed.. I have seen so many videos on this cosmetic line where the makeup looked perfect.. I started thinking it was my skin.. then I realized.. every single video I had watched was either a YouTube girl or guy who had gone to her launch party OR they were using all of her products.. the primer, foundation, highlighter, contour... it made sense .. her products are designed to work together and not well with others.. cleaver strategy or failed flaw? TBD. I wanted badly to drink the cool aid and like the brand but so far first impression was not a good one. I'm hoping for better results wit her holiday line! Stay tunedI received the Armani power fabric in shades 2 and 4.5 to review free from influenster! I had tried this foundation when it first launched in Nordstrom back in February ... I was not the biggest fan of it. I have normal to combo skin with t zone oil. This foundation claims to be long wearing high cover foundation. Well.. let me tell you the coverage is right on, you can build the coverage if you need more which I absolutely love! I liked the color and the fact it doesn't oxidize on my skin .. what I absolutely did not like was the fact it wiped right off of my face! When I am touching my eye brows or even something simple like applying my setting powder or contour I noticed that the foundation was wiping right off. Talk about a disappointment.. regardless of this I decided to keep wearing it. Well I regretted it. The foundation separated around my nose and chin. I have tried a setting powder and a primer still to no avail. I will give this foundation one more chance just because I love the texture, color and coverage but I do not have high hopes for this product on my skin. Totally bummed.
A year ago I started on the ipsy journey! To this day I still think it is one of the coolest things I've been a part of! For only $10 a month they will send you some of the best deluxe size products.. some may even be full size.. like the brushes! I have discovered some of my favorite smaller brands through ipsy! It is a unique way for brands to door PR campaigns and gain awesome reviews.. the picture above is my most recent ipsy bag and I must say I LOVED it! Can we talke about that pore clearing mask?! It smells like strawberries and works better than any $50-$80 pore mask I bought from sephora. I loved the creative concept behind this months bags too! Good vibes only... who wouldn't love that?! Ipsy subscribers got sent to them either the wild & free, peace love &a lipstick OR good vibes only emscribed bags! TOTALLY cute! Included in my bag was the Aurora cosmetics pro cover up concealer in pale ecru. This product is a long wearing creamy concealer.. honestly a cheaper version of NARS radiant creamy concealer EXCEPT the color was a little off. Next up was a brand near and dear to me.. the balm cosmetics.. they featured a eyeshadow/highlight in the shade kuwakaribisha. I am always a fan of their products! Blend extremely well and do not crease on the face or eyes! They sell palettes at Nordstrom rack, marshals and I believe Tjmaxx! I wasn't impressed by the blush bronzer brick.. honestly it was a low quality and didn't work well with my skin tone so that was a hard pass for me. I was jumping out of my shoes for that makeup forever mascara! I have been dying to try this! Hello lashes from the gods! I had long thick amazing lashes as if I had slapped on a pair of lashes! Yes yes yes! If you are pondering this mascara... you need to run .. yes I said run to sephora! I got bounced this month a new brush from beauty junkees... I didn't really have a specific need for this brush but I was excited to try it so I used to place powder under my eyes and under my contour. I felt it was dense enough to pack the loose powder on my skin. Thinking about it I could also use it as possibly a mini contour brush. I love ipsy as a brand because of the brands and people they support.. the creators and bloggers for ipsy are so sweet and so informative! Follow them on instagram and YouTube for little tips and tricks! If you are interested in subscribing to ipsy follow my link on my Facebook page! Facebook & instagram: Blondebeautyma
i recently stumbled upon this amazing brand at a work training! I had been hearing about it from customers and a few blogs here and there but it had never really caught my eye. When given the chance to try some of their products it was love at first touch! I have unusually large pores that seem to get clogged and stay clogged. I have tried everything from glam glow to boscia and nothing has cleared them out until I put on the magic black ice mask! Enter this little tube to the left.. made from Icelandic volcanic sand helps to physically exfoliate the skin to remove black heads and dull skin! I first put the mask on for 20 minutes and then rubbed it into my skin with circular motions and warm water.. following this I used the triad pads which are cranberry toner soaked cotton pads that help to infuse the skin with protective antioxidants that leave it glowing and refreshed! Now up until this point I have hated every single eye cream I have used on my face... I have the words driest under eyes and I get the worst creasing when baking and concealing.. let me introduce to you the EyeDew plus! The name is beyond appropriate. SO MUCH HYDRATION! The cream has almost a tacky feeling on the skin that helps to lock in moisture. This eye cream is also an ultra-corrective anti aging product. It's is composed of dermaxyl* and caramax* to reverse signs of aging(rights owned by Arcona). With all of that I still haven't shared the best part.... this eye cream is fricken UNICORN TEARS! Hello holographic colors!.. you'll thank me later I promise *I invested big time in my blog and future blogging today! I bought the new iPad Pro 10.5 inch! The display on this beauty is amazing! I was also informed that I can edit all of my YouTube videos on here! Um yes! So easy to have it all at my finger tips! Get ready for some amazing things coming your way from Blondebeautyma
What do you get when you combine the top beauty blogger and YouTuber Jaclyn Hill and the hottest up and coming makeup brand? The MorpheXJaclynhill palette! Get ready to see Stars because this palette is so out of this world! Selling out twice this is a covetted palette for sure. I was lucky enough to get my hands on it the first go around despite some major technical difficulties on the Morphebrushes website. Logging on at exactly 11:00 est the website right away crashed. I had to refresh the page about 6 times before I could even put it in my cart. As the panic starts to set in, the minutes tick by.. refreshing, loading, more refreshing finally I was directed to the check out line where I waited 5-10 minutes. Relief set in when I was able to connect to my PayPal and I received my congratulations email! With in a week I had the palette sitting in my hands! Besides the disappointment of the website failures my box came crushed and the palette was a little damaged. The palette isn't made of plastic like the usual morphe palettes, this one is made of cardboard. Cheap if you ask me considering I paid 16$ more than I would for the regular palettes but that is besides the point. All in all I am OBSESSED with this palette! There is a color in here for every skin tone, eye color, hair intensity in this world! The pigment and texture of the palette are to die for. If you haven't watched Jaclyn's youtube video where she swatches and talks about each color you should look it up now!! Morphe and Jaclyn have assured us that they will be restocking again shortly so if you have not gotten your hands on this beauty do not fear your time is about to come! Xoxo
