for me this is one of my biggest accomplishments yet as a makeup artist! It's so easy to do a smokey eye because it is messy and bold.. however a cut crease takes patients and a steady hand! Read more for my look in detail! Xoxo
First step in my make up look today is to prime the skin with smashbox photo primer oil! This hydrates the skin and also gives the skin a natural sheen. I use the Anastasia Beverly Hills pomade in taupe for my brows using a morphe angle brow brush. For my eye shadow look today I will be starting using my morphe 35O matte pallet.
Taking my morphe 35O matte pallet bellow, I used the rusty orange shade as my transition color. Using a fluffy morphe brush I apply the transition color in a wiper motion focusing the color in the crease.
After I have built up and evenly distributed the transition color I turned to my Lancome eye shadow pallet and take the rustic copper brown shade found in the center of the pallet. This shade is going to be focused in the same area of the transition shade creating a more defined crease. I used a morphe pencil brush from the rose gold collection to apply this color. Using the urban decay eye shadow potion primer, I clean up the crease so the color is just focused in he crease. Next I go in with a tight morphe shadow brush and apply this metallic pink shade all over my lid, bringing it out in a wing motion. Follow with grandiose liner from Lancome being careful not to cover the wing created by the pink shade.
The picture below depicts what it should look like up to this point! I have taken a special interest in the brand crave lashes lately and I am using their products in today's look! I use their clear lash adhesive paired with their coveted red velvet lashes for a bold, dramatic look!
taking a damp beauty blender, I apply my Lancome tient miracle foundation in 270 all over my face. To help with my under eye circles I use becca cosmetics under eye brightening corrector in a salmon shade.. apply with a brush and blend with a beauty blender. Conceal and highlight using my born this way concealer in very fair. This is 3 times lighter than my skin tone right now so it gives the perfect highlighted contrast!
taking a small cheek brush I apply the middle shade of my Anastasia Beverly Hills light contour kit to the hollows of my cheeks, temples and hairline. Blend out NARS orgasm blush with a fluffy morphe blush brush and finish off highlighting using Laura geller gilded honey.. I focus this highlight on the tip of my nose, cheek bone, forehead chin and Cupid's bow.
using the fan brush I extremely highlight my Cupid's bow and nose.. using the urban decay 24/7 lip liner in a nude pink shade, I over line my top lip for a little bit of definition.. follow with Anastasia Beverly Hills liquid lipstick in pure Hollywood <-- this shade has been hard to locate lately*
here are some pictures from the finished look! It turned out to be a natural look with a little kick of color! I love the ultimate highlight and gleam that the oil primer and highlight gave me! Perfect for that glownin the dark look! Hope you enjoyed loves xoxox
